To delete your account go to your profile and blank out your email. Save the changes. That's all you need to do.

You will receive no more emails, and your profile will be deleted shortly afterwards during routine system maintenance

It's simple. Just go to the 'My Profile' tab, blank out your email and save the change. Thats it. Your account will be disabled, you won't be able to log back in, and eventually the dormant record will be erased during routine system maintenance.
